Christ The Way Church Short Teachings

These short messages are intended to address single topics that are important to the Church in this hour. Each teaching is simply a nugget of Scriptural truth in regard to a single topic, and is not intended to be an exhaustive treatment of that topic.

The messages from our Sunday gatherings focus on the Eternal Plan and Purpose of the Godhead, and The Journey into Christ and His Life, by the way of the Cross. Those are enduring topics that involve the transformation out of our Adamic life, into Christ and His life, and we will continue to deal with those main areas of focus in an on-going fashion. Those messages being longer and typically containing more content, can be more challenging when it comes to isolating a specific concept within a given message. That…, is the reason we have created this section on the website.

We appreciate the fact that we are able to be short and to the point in the messages in this section. But we should also mention that these short teachings are by no means intended to be a complete discussion on any one of the various topics, because they are not. Based on the Lord’s instruction to add this section on the website, we plan to add new messages dealing with new topics right along, as well as more content dealing with topics already discussed. We feel that this format will help visitors to the website more easily find what is of specific interest to them.

Our goal is to encourage the listener to consider what the Scriptures have to say, and then compare that to what they have been taught, and currently believe, and then allow the Holy Spirit to lead them to Him who is The Truth…, Jesus Christ Himself.

Matthew 7:22-23 is an unusual passage in that it depicts believers doing what would typically be perceived as “spiritual works”, but yet Jesus responds by saying that He did not know those doing those works. Then He sends them away from Himself. What is happening there, and what understandings are we to glean from those two verses?

This segment discusses what Jesus is referring to when he mentions the New Wine and new wineskins in Luke 5:36-39.  The real question for each of us is whether we will be content with the old wine or press on to the New.

The return of Jesus is a great hope and consolation of the Church in this current age of time.  We must cling fast to Jesus and wait for His coming.  His return is imminent and there is great and singular hope in Him.  We must not give in to popular sentiments about this great hope for redemption.

There is a very distinct difference between Jesus Christ, the Light of Life, and popular teachings and deceptions about the “inner light” or inherent goodness in humanity. We hope this teaching helps clarify this distinction so that we may turn our hearts to Jesus and be transformed in beholding Him.

Some in the church in this day appear to take the first phrase of the Romans 8:28..., "God causes all things to work for the good", and derive their understanding from that portion of the whole verse. But what is the verse really telling us? In this short video (…at least shorter than our typical teachings), we explain the fuller meaning of the verse, and to whom it applies, and why.
